We order every Wednesday!! Definitely the best fish we’ve ever had, quality of fish is amazing, big portion size and my husband refuses any other place! Owner has been running the place for many years, lovely to see a family run business delivering high quality food to our community!

Listen, my friends, you will not find a better chippy in our area. Amazing Fish will blow you away. It's a whopper. thick pure white flakes with a golden crispy coating. Portions are massive with chunky traditional chips, The price will not be matched anywhere. You have all the sides and more. I'm so happy to find my favourites as it's hard to get pickled onions and eggs these days. The owner is a top bloke and is always welcoming. it's not a franchise, so the staff care, and it shows. You have to try this place. Straight up.

The BEST fish I’ve eaten at a chippy in years! Came off the M62 and drove here as had a gut feeling their fish and chips would be good and it was well worth the extra drive and detour. Thanks lads

I was on a 2 day trip to the UK from the USA, and I really wanted to try proper Fish and Chips so my mate took me to this spot. The staff were super friendly, super accommodating, and generous. We ordered the Jumbo order, which was enough for 3 people, but I polished it off myself because it was so good. If I could give this restaurant six stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I would give it seven. Loved it. Highly, highly recommend it. Thanks again! EDIT: August 2025 Update: Visited them again a year later and they have renovated the place nicely. The fish and chips were amazing as before and this time around I tried the fried sausage: absolutely delightful. Top notch guys. They even remembered my name despite having only met me once a year before! This place deserves all the love and business it gets. Much love from America.

Chip box is my go to Fish & Chips spot in Dewsbury! The fish is cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and succulent chunks of fresh fish on the inside :) I'm from Leeds but work in Batley and have enjoyed Chipbox on my lunch break. I would happily travel all the way from Leeds to get my fish and chips everytime. The staff are friendly and always enjoying having a chat!

We've been regulars at Chipbox Dewsbury for years, and it's because they consistently get everything right. The fish and chips are always of the highest quality, and the portions are generous - which is definitely a bonus for a family with growing teenagers! Beyond the food, what really sets this place apart is the immaculate cleanliness and the friendly, owners. The owners are genuinely happy to chat and make you feel welcome every single time. The shop is always spotless and the clean. It's a proper community chippy, and we're so glad to have it.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this one was a must! The best fish and chips in town, in fact I’d go as far as saying the best fish and chips in the world because believe me I’ve tried them everywhere but nothing is as lush as Mr Chip Box’s fish and chips. The unbelievable generous amount is a dream. I’m starting to question if it’s a baby shark now haha. On top of that the chunky chips done right is like a cherry on top! The owner cracks the best jokes and always lifts you up if you’re not in the best mood :) My hundredth time coming here and definitely hundreds more! We asked for a medium curry sauce but he gave a large and free mushy peas. Now if that’s not what you call a treat I don’t know what is!! If you’ve not tried the fish and chips here then you’re truly missing out. Be fast or be last! Picture doesn’t do justice. Our team of volunteers were treated to fish and chips from Chip Box as a thank you for some work completed locally. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious and portion size was generous. Service was brilliant, we ordered in advance and then picked them up. Everything was ready on time, and served with a friendly smile. Highly recommended! :)
